SP4K Teachers

Ruthie Sipher-Mann

Hello,
My name is Ruthie Sipher-Mann and I am a 4K teacher at Rock-a-Bye. I graduated from Beloit College with a dual Bachelor's Degree in Education and Psychology and also received my grade 1-8 teaching license. I taught 3rd grade and 5th grade in Memphis, TN before returning to Wisconsin and beginning to work at Rock-a-Bye in 2011.

After teaching 3K, school age, and Spanish at Rock-a-Bye for three years, I attended UW-Whitewater in 2014 to get my early childhood license and then began teaching 4K at Rock-a-Bye. I love working with all the students and families that are part of the Rock-a-Bye community! I am also lucky because I get to continue to teach Spanish not only the 4K students but the future 4K students (the 2-3-year-olds)!

I live on the West Side of Madison with my cats Charlie Pepper, Olive Bette, and Annie Belle. In my free time, I like to crochet stuffed animals and baby blankets.

I am so excited that I have the privilege of teaching in such an outstanding environment.

Jane Williams

Hi, my name is Jane Williams and I am one of the SP4K teachers at Rock-a-bye.

I went to college at Bluffton University in Ohio were I received a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. I taught two-years of Kindergarten, was a Gymboree instructor, a Brownie troop leader, a religion teacher, and most importantly I educated my own children as a stay-at-home Mom. I ended up creating my own pre-school, Miss Jane's Little School, where I instructed two to five-year-olds. Pre-schoolers are excited to learn and keep my life hopping and very happy!

I just recently received my Master's Degree at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in Personal Development in Education. In this program, I implemented an action research project with my pre-kindergarten classes in positive behavior.

My husband, Tim and I have four children: Julianne, Madeline, John, and Elizabeth. We have been residents of Sun Prairie since 2000. I enjoy walking with my dog Bianca and watching the leaves turn colors, which means it's a new school year!

I love teaching pre-kindergarteners and with the passing of the 4K program in Sun Prairie I decided I wanted to be part of this new era. I am excited to share this journey with Rock-a-bye and YOUR child!
